Cummins Rocky Mountain Project | Jorgenson Material Handling
Cummins Rocky Mountain
Project location: Gillette, Wyoming
Cummins Rocky Mountain's Engine Rebuilding & Service Center in Gillette, WY was setting up shop and needed our material handling expertise. As a global leader in high-performance diesel engines, we knew their storage solutions needed to be just as advanced as their products.
Storage Solutions for Turbo-Charged Production
After assessing operational plans at the new Cummins facility, we knew they would require ample pallet rack storage capacity with a layout that designed to conserve warehouse space. Customized shelving would also be needed for organization of tools and supplies, as well as new lockers for employees and restroom partitions. Luckily, we are experts in setting up new buildings and we knew just what to do to get Cummins up and running at full power.
Projects
Pallet Rack & Shelving
We installed drive-in pallet rack, known for its exceptional durability and easy access for fork lifts and other equipment. The rack would also be adjustable for changing space needs and an extra floor level space for additional storage. Next, we customized shelving units built with modular components to meet Cummins’s specific storage needs.
Lockers & Partitions
The Cummins employees needed secure storage for their staff room so we installed a few rows of black lockers to match the brand's style. The last step was to furnish the restrooms where we installed black partitions to complete the project.
