Thermo Fisher Project | Jorgenson Material Handling
Thermo Fisher
Project location: Logan, Utah
Thermo Fisher Scientific is a global leader in science with advancements in life science research, analytical challenges and patient diagnostics. The company opened a new facility in Logan, UT and required strategic material handling for their sterile environment.
The Science Behind the Storage
Thermo Fisher had extensive storage needs including a high-capacity, pallet rack storage system & large modular offices that would need to be custom built for their sterile environment. The facility would also need pit levelers installed for their loading dock and safety railing.
Projects
Pallet Rack
We provided Thermo Fisher with a high-density pallet rack solution to store their medical equipment and other supplies. The rack structure was one of our largest and it required 6 semi loads of racking that weighed a total of 200,000 lb. The uprights stood at 25' tall and provided Thermo Fisher with 2,600 pallet positions.
Modular Offices & Dock Equipment
We installed spacious modular buildings for new offices which consisted of 2,200 sq. feet. Since some of the modular buildings would be used as clean rooms, we added ceiling constructed of drywall covered in fiberglass to eliminate ceiling particles in their lab testing.
