Northwest Tire Factory is a growing tire distribution company based in Portland, Oregon with over 160 members with 180 total locations throughout 10 western states. Their latest expansion included a new distribution center in Salt Lake City, UT.
High-Density Racking For Maximum Distribution
Northwest Tire Factory is based in Portland, Oregon but was expanding to Salt Lake City with a new distribution center to support their increasing demand. The 45,000 sq ft. warehouse would support 60,000 passenger, light truck, industrial and other tires at full capacity. The plan was to take some of the stress off their Portland location with the ability to take on the inventory of 50 stores. With such a big undertaking, the company turned to us to help design, identify and install a surplus of pallet rack.
Projects
Pallet Rack
This super-sized pallet racking project consisted of 341 Sections of Selective Pallet Racking which amounted to 480,000 pounds of rack.
Safety Equipment
We also installed all the proper safety equipment including guard rails, safety bollards, corner guards and dock guards. This would help to protect their new racking, assist in structural support and shield specific areas from forklifts and other motorized equipment.
