Which wire deck fits your rack?

Start with the beam profile, not just the deck width. These two product families use different support-channel designs.

Waterfall wire decks with step channels

Step channels seat in a compatible beam step. This configuration is designed around standard 1-5/8-inch step beams. The waterfall edge bends over the beam.

Flared channel wire mesh decking

Flared channel ends rest across the beam top. Review this style for structural and box-style beams, with the exact beam profile checked before purchase.

What to measure before requesting a quote

  1. Beam profile and rack depth: provide a clear beam-end photo and dimensions.
  2. Deck layout: provide the clear beam span and desired number of decks per level.
  3. Load: describe the weight, pallet or container footprint, and how it contacts the deck.
  4. Project details: include quantity, finish, Utah delivery location and required timing.

Sizes and capacities shown in the configurator are quote selections, not confirmation that every size, finish and capacity combination is available or suitable. We confirm the final configuration with your quote.

Wire decking questions

What is the difference between waterfall and flared channel wire decking?

Waterfall describes a deck edge that bends over the beam. Step and flared describe the support channels underneath. Our waterfall wire deck page features step-channel decks; our flared-channel page covers a different support style. Confirm both the channel fit and edge style before ordering.

What does capacity per deck (UDL) mean?

UDL means uniformly distributed load. The requested rating assumes weight spread over the deck as specified for that configuration. A concentrated or point load needs separate review. The deck rating does not increase the capacity of the rack beams or frames.

How do I request wire decking for a Salt Lake City or Utah project?

Use the product quote form with your deck size, quantity, preferred finish and project location. Include beam photos, load details and timing in the notes. Jorgenson Material Handling in Salt Lake City can help review the request and quote current availability and freight for your Utah location.
