Selecting flared channel wire decking for your Utah rack project
The flared channel ends bear across the beam top rather than seating only in a recessed step. Confirm the beam profile, bearing surface and deck dimensions for your rack.

- Requested capacity per deck
- 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500 lb UDL. Rating depends on the final size, construction and load pattern.
- Finish choices
- Powder coat, electrogalvanized, or ask our team to advise you.
- Optional configurations
- Ask about reverse waterfall, impact plates, solid deck, wire support channel decks, and snap-in, hanging or flue dividers. Compatibility and availability are confirmed with the quote.
Not every listed size and capacity combination is available. Do not use a UDL rating for a concentrated load without review, or treat the deck rating as the capacity of the complete rack system.

Wire decking questions
When should I consider flared channel wire decking?
Consider flared channels when the support needs to rest across the beam top, including structural or box-style beams. The beam shape and dimensions still need to be checked; a flared channel is not a guarantee of fit on every rack.
Can a flared channel deck also have a waterfall edge?
Yes. Channel shape and edge shape are separate features. The photograph shows a waterfall edge with flared support channels. Include the beam profile and desired edge style with your request.
What does capacity per deck (UDL) mean?
UDL means uniformly distributed load. The requested rating assumes weight spread over the deck as specified for that configuration. A concentrated or point load needs separate review. The deck rating does not increase the capacity of the rack beams or frames.
How do I request wire decking for a Salt Lake City or Utah project?
Use the product quote form with your deck size, quantity, preferred finish and project location. Include beam photos, load details and timing in the notes. Jorgenson Material Handling in Salt Lake City can help review the request and quote current availability and freight for your Utah location.
