Where Drive Thru Racks is used
Palletized reserve storage, high-SKU warehouses, distribution operations and manufacturing inventory.
Drive-Thru racking is similar to drive-in racks, the main difference being that they use a common entry and exit. Selectivity is more limited with this system, but it is ideal for reaching similar products or SKUs with high-density storage achieved within smaller areas. Drive-thru racks are typically preferred for cold storage applications since increased palletized products are able to utilize the expensive freezer space. Forklifts are able to enter the rack system from either side to pick up, or pull out pallets with ease. Drive-thru rack ensures automatic stock rotation with a “first in, first out” method so that pickers will always see the most recently placed pallets, this provides effective palletization for time-sensitive products.

Beam capacity depends on the beam model, length, connector and load distribution. Frame capacity depends on upright design, frame depth, bracing, unsupported column length and the spacing of beam levels. Use manufacturer or engineer-approved capacity information for the complete configuration.
Industrial pallet rack is generally anchored to a suitable concrete slab according to the approved design, manufacturer requirements and applicable code. Anchor type, embedment and location are project-specific.
Employees should report damage as soon as it is observed, with regular documented inspections performed at intervals appropriate to traffic, impacts and risk. A qualified person should evaluate questionable damage.
