For the most common uses of palletized storage, our selective pallet rack is ideal for obtaining quick access to inventory and provides the lowest cost per square meter of rack. Push pallet rack is more tailored to high volume storage applications and is beneficial for easy loading and unloading processes. Drive-in racking is considered a more cost-effective option and utilizes a stacked lane structure with the ability to enter and exit with a forklift.

Common customer questions

Questions about Pallet Racking Systems

These answers provide a starting point. Final equipment, capacity, layout and installation requirements must be confirmed for the specific facility and application.

How is pallet-rack capacity determined?

Beam capacity depends on the beam model, length, connector and load distribution. Frame capacity depends on upright design, frame depth, bracing, unsupported column length and the spacing of beam levels. Use manufacturer or engineer-approved capacity information for the complete configuration.

Do pallet racks need to be anchored?

Industrial pallet rack is generally anchored to a suitable concrete slab according to the approved design, manufacturer requirements and applicable code. Anchor type, embedment and location are project-specific.

How often should pallet rack be inspected?

Employees should report damage as soon as it is observed, with regular documented inspections performed at intervals appropriate to traffic, impacts and risk. A qualified person should evaluate questionable damage.
